Meet Sophie

I grew up in a large family where family meals were very much a part of our lives. We all had a role to play in getting the meal together, whether it was peeling the carrots, laying the table or stacking the dish washer, meal times were communal activities.

In this way I learnt that making a meal was more than just putting a chicken in the oven. It's about working together, enjoying yourself and understanding food from the dozens of things that can be done with a potato to the health benefits of spinach.

As a mother I know how difficult it can be to get your child to eat new foods and how time consuming it is to find the time to teach children to cook. Our cookery classes take that stress away from you and we know that your child will love to learn to cook with us.

I have has been running The Good Cook School since 2006. I am qualified teacher and have a Level 2 Award in Healthier Food & Special Diets, Certificates in Food Hygiene, Healthy Lunchbox Training, Whole School Approach to Food and Nutrition and Paediatric First Aid. I successfully achieved Healthy School Status for Headley Park School, Bristol.

The Good Cooks School runs courses for toddlers through to school leavers, holiday workshops and special events for schools. The Good Cook School is a great way to get your child to enjoy good food and have fun too.
