Welcome to the Good Cook School

The Good Cook School teaches children of all ages how to cook healthy, wholesome food that they want to eat.

In a fun and relaxed atmosphere children will learn basic cooking skills, using fresh and where possible, locally sourced ingredients.

Trained, friendly staff will help children to learn how to handle kitchen equipment safely and to work hygienically with food. These are skills that will stay with your children for life.

The Good Cook School runs cooking workshops, children's parties and offers a range of cooking and healthy eating sessions to schools. We also work with young people in a range of settings and people with special needs.

All our staff are CRB checked and run by Sophie Fox who is a qualified teacher.

We want to help anyone who wants to cook, to learn this crucial and above all enjoyable skill.

Our Misson

We strive to get children to enjoy making and eating new food through the excitement of preparing it for themselves.

We work with children from toddlers through to school leavers and now by popular demand with adults and pensioners too! Proving that you are never too old to learn new skills.

Date Bars

This is a new recipe to me, but I enjoyed it so much I wanted to share it. I chopped them up into small squares and they made an ideal snack. Perfect for a treat in your lunchbox.
